EP-20
A bridge flanked by four lions with an almost Egyptian pose connects El Paraíso, with Avenida O’Higgins at its north end, with La Vega parish, starting at Avenida La Paz. Sculpted in artificial stone, similar to Cumarebo stone, by Angel Cabre i Magriña (1863-1940), they are undated. While at one time they stood out in the urban scene and became a symbol of the city, it is difficult to perceive them nowadays amongst the new context built around them (Gran Misión Venezuela housing and La Paz traffic distributor), although they continue to be valuable references to the area and its statues.
