A fan-shaped coast with three beaches protected by breakwaters corresponds to the village of Naiguatá (700m long x 60m wide). The beach resort was developed during the 50s with services built in two 90 m long buildings: one for locker rooms and services, the other an educational unit, both in a state of total abandonment, despite their architectural and heritage value. Both the buildings and the beach access are characterized by the single barrel-vault roofs, which, in the buildings, leave the ground floor free as shaded areas needed to access the locker room and restroom services. Unfortunately, the inadequate location of multiple services that were built later on the marine front (like firemen, police and healthcare centers), has restricted the direct visual contact from the street, which still seems salvageable.
