Another public space within the historic quarters of El Hatillo is the Sucre Square, which is located to the south east and that is also known as La Ceiba, in allusion to the tree in its center. It has a triangular shape and it is surrounded by small building dedicated to commercial activities, among which an old abandoned cinema stands.
